2010 Update
During 2010, Wyndham Ka `Eo Kai has seen
constant activity as upgrades in all areas of the resort were underway. Carpentry repairs to all of our stairways and lanais were completed before the exterior of all 36 guest buildings, and our clubhouse were painted. Phase 2 buildings, our clubhouse, and the pool cabana all received new roofs. (Phase 3 roof did not need to be replaced now, but are scheduled for 2012)
New landscaping on the resort included the removal of seven Scheflerra trees between the resort entrance and clubhouse and planting of ten new dwarf coconut trees, and two bottle brush trees in their place. Tree trimming was also completed throughout the resort.
The pool in Phase 2 also received a complete makeover. The bottom of the pool was resurfaced, the old deck completely removed and replaced and the entire pool area was re-landscaped to brighten the area. New pool furniture, umbrellas and the addition of BBQ grills at both of our pools have also been popular additions. Our tennis court is scheduled to be resurfaced in January 2011. Look for upgraded wireless internet service in 2011 also.
Unit 17B has been renovated as our model unit. Your board reviewed the unit during their fall meetings. With some minor modifications to that design, refurbishments to our interiors are scheduled to begin in May of 2011. Upgrades include new tile and carpeting, furniture, lamps, artwork throughout. Kitchens will have new cabinetry, granite countertops and appliances. Our bathrooms will also have new cabinets and granite countertops. An oversized walk in shower replaces the tub in the guest bathroom. Currently planned as a 3 year project, 32 units are scheduled to begin in May 2011 and be completed by August 2011. Our 54 remaining units are scheduled to be completed in 2012 and 2013.
